The exodus continues; 40% of physicians say they plan to leave their role within the next two years. Where will they all go? There’s plenty of opportunity cropping up in the digital health space. I hear so often from folks that they don’t feel qualified, yet they are highly accomplished clinicians who bring so much value.

Maybe you’ve seen a job listing—whether it’s in a corporate environment or at a fast-growing startup—and thought, “I don’t have the right background. They’ll never consider me.” I get it. But let’s consider a mindset shift 🧠 — the idea of making a leap from clinical practice to the corporate world or a startup can feel intimidating. But here’s the truth: so many of the skills you’ve honed as a clinician are incredibly transferable to roles in these spaces — even if the job description doesn’t explicitly state they are looking for a clinician.

Take clinical problem-solving, for example. Every day in clinical practice, you’re faced with complex situations that require you to think critically, prioritize, and make decisions quickly. Whether you’re assessing a patient’s symptoms or navigating the next step in treatment, those decision-making abilities are gold in any corporate environment. Startups in particular thrive on people who can assess situations, adapt, and solve problems on the fly.
